1.
New world order- Forgive, forget . regress with no regrets. New law no rule, they’ll start twisting the screws. Resist, useless, you’ll find no egress. Sit down, give up, drink from the bitter cup. Screaming for help and no one hears your call, New World order don’t care at all. Go back in time, Jack boots marching in line. It’s all the same, same beast different name. Shut down the news, except those that share your views. We’re all shut out, we’ll all pay and there’s no doubt.
2.
Another Star 02:19
Another Star- she’s completely locked in the sun. All alone but she is not the only one. Lost completely but she knows where you are. And she won’t be alone again, she’s on another star. Effortlessly embracing the light. Helpless but she has not given up the fight.
3.
Disaster 02:31
Disaster- disaster won’t stop. I can tell you need it a lot. My love for you was deep, till you stabbed me in my sleep. Open your eyes it won’t go away, closing up, deep disdain. Open your eyes it won’t go away, it’s just a disaster. Disaster is the only way, disaster is gonna hit you hard today, and I need one more shot, but disaster won’t stop. The nightmare won’t cease, no matter how I beg or bleed. Out the doorway I creep, Because I’m safer out in the streets.
4.
The Last time- First time, it wasn’t so bad. Second time took everything I had. Third time, I knew that I was wrong. But that’s what you knew all along. That was the last time that you broke my heart. Fourth time, you wanna try again. Fifth time, our troubles may never end. Sixth time, I think I finally had enough. Seventh time, it’s really started getting rough. That was the last time that you broke my heart. I’d rather choke than touch your lips one more time. That was the last time that you broke my heart. I’ve got nothing left to give, Ive got nothing left to get, so don’t you break my heart.
5.
Living in your past - Seen enough to shock the devil, so don’t you try to patronize. Don’t think you could stand one glance looking through my eyes. I was so high but I’m coming down fast, cant have a future, cause we’re living in your past. I don’t wanna live in your past. I was floating above the world, could see all that pain below. Now I find myself Crashing, how could I get down so low. I’m Coming down fast
6.
Nazi Fotze 01:57
I’m not telling you Americans what I’m singing. Go ask a German friend to translate. The gist is…nazi bad. (Signed, PGS)
7.
Detroit City 02:56
Detroit City- Oh Jesus Chrysler, and holy Ford. Mopar maniac running down the road. From Saint Clair Shores all the way to Livonia, in the motor city don’t nobody Own ya. Don’t need love and don’t want pity ride with me in Detroit City. 65 Cuda all murdered out. 8 miles high on the green mile. 66 Lincoln with suicide doors, tearing up the Cass corridor. come ride with me now.
8.
Bottom of the ocean- we’ve been sailing along on a wavy jagged ride. If you want to protect me why don’t you just step aside. May your ship go down in the sea way down below. Why Don’t you come out and say it that you just wanna die all alone. Ain’t no reason to pretend, we’re gonna do it wrong again again and again. Washed up on the beach I can’t take no more. you want to start back up The moment re reach the shore. I don’t wanna play this game, because no one wins. We’ve been in this boat before, and we both know how it ends. I can’t help you, because I’ve got no strength left anymore. That’s why I left you, lying on the bottom of the ocean floor. I’ll be with you, when we meet again in the underworld. That’s why I left you, lying on the bottom of the ocean floor. I can’t save you. Don’t wanna save you.
9.
Rat Queen 03:02
Rat Queen- she draws a line you should not cross, and if you do it’s going to be your loss. Silver blue hair all done up right, you better believe it man she’s dynamite. Come on Joanna, come rescue me. Come on Joanna you’re the rat queen. And on dry land, she’s at her best. Come on round here, come into my nest. Got what I want, and I can’t wait. Get on that greyhound man, don’t hesitate. Play my favorite record from The Damned. Don't really care just where I land.
10.
Blacked out again?- don’t tell me about reduction of harm. Can’t you see all these track marks on my arms? Where’d I get all this blood on my hands? There’s no end to how low I’m slipping. Did things I’ll never understand. I’m blacked out I’m wiped out again. Oh Lord there must be someway I can stop. Feels like I got a pair of concrete socks.
11.
The Warning 04:43
The warning- we both crawled out of a sewer. Said she loves me and I barely knew her. Come and check me out don’t you know that I’m so docile. Got a heart of stone and I’m bleeding the blood of a reptile. Let’s just get this one thing understood you may be bad, but I ain’t no good. We were born in flames and nursed on ashes. Stuck in some kind of hopeless deadly status. We’d be best off if we left this road untraveled. Come and tangle with the worst and watch yourself unravel. Let’s just get this one thing understood, you may be bad but I ain’t no good. You wouldn’t even leave me if you could. You may be bad but I ain’t no good. You better run , you better hide, as you should. You may be bad but I ain’t no good. I’ll meet you down on the street to taste the warmth of my knife, I’m gonna treat you to a fancy night, I ain’t no good. This blood feast on which we dine, I’ll eat your guts out It’ll taste so fine. Ain’t no good.
12.
Don’t care about nothing - I used to care a lot about the things you say. Oh baby how you fucked my head. Now things have changed and it’s time you knew, i’ll send the rats after you. I used to lay awake shaking in my bed. Had no clear path on the road ahead. Now things have changed and I finally know, there’s only one way this can go. Down below. I don’t care about nothing anymore.

about

The Strains are 100% street. They cut their teeth on the nitty gritty spanning many decades. Individually from the gutters of Detroit in the mid 70s , to the Bowery in New York in the late 70s , the frigid climes of Minneapolis in the 80s , and the dive bars of Europe in the post Cold War era in the 90s and 2000s, only to meet up in Detroit in the NOW. These guys do not mince words or notes. They have been there through every fashion change and shift in taste, yet remain true to what has been fundamental throughout the decades. The rock and roll spirit. This live album captures them at their most real. Songs about truth. Songs about hurt. Songs about hope.

Things we all have seen. Good and bad. Standing up and shaking a fist at the grim reaper in pure defiance like many before them did. These are real songs about love, hate, loss and death as told by those who lived to tell the tale. Recorded in one day live in the studio on a whim, not planned. Just 4 street dogs on a Saturday afternoon doing what they love. Step inside and get a taste.
